If the committee uses any logic, Duke's win helps Notre Dame's case over Miami

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but how can you put a conference at-large team into the playoff when the conference champion isn't good enough?

Unfortunately, logic doesn't play a big role

There is no logic in a system that guarantees spots to ANY team.
There is no logic in a system that says losses really shouldn't hurt you. (See conference championship games)
There is no logic in a system that produces results that change week / week, largely based on prevailing narrative and perception.

Not that I think it affects us any way but I knew Virginia would choke. Duke also had nothing to

I fear the committee won't want to leave a major conference out of the playoffs

And will use the head-to-head to put Miami in over ND.

And Alabama isn't going to be dropped behind ND and Miami.

The ACC isn't a major conference anymore.

They're the Sun Belt.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

They should be behind both ND and Miami. Barely beat Auburn with a first game coach, and a shitload

There should be no way the committee drops ND behind Miami

If everything is the exact same this week as it was last week, there is zero HONEST rationale for the committee to move Miami over Notre Dame. To do so would be nothing short of corrupt, and hopefully the committee has enough integrity to know it.

Games are played & now it’s out of our hands. Pray we make it.

I'd rather they rank Duke high enough to get in but they won't
