A terrible precedent was just set. They said they're willing to punish the winner of 10 straight...

by dropping them 2 spots after dominating the last opponent they played, to protect a team who just got dominated and lost 2 of their last 4 games.

Oh and what were the 2 wins in that impressive stretch? They dominated a 3-9 FCS team and barely survived against 5-7 Auburn.

They just punished the team with the second longest win streak in the Nation behind Indiana, to reward a team who doesn't even play like they want to be in the playoffs.

Today is a sad day for the sport of College Football, whether the haters realize it or not.

Any game that has no consequences is just as meaningless as a game that has no reward.

They just officially Certified the SEC Championship Game as meaningless.

Absolutely agree. SEC and ESPN commitment to NDDS. Ridiculously obvious.
