So we have learned post hoc that there was no chance at all for the CFP to put ND in the playoff
since 2 weeks ago when the inexplicably moved Alabama ahead of us (that was when they telegraphed their intent).
There was no scenario on championship weekend in which the CFP committee would have let us into the playoffs despite us being ranked in the 10th qualifying spot leading into it.
As an aside - another one sided treatment example:
CFP head said that he had everyone on the CFP watch the Aug 31 ND/Miami game again (ignoring that they were different teams way back then, that ND had a new freshman QB and a new DC), and claiming that Miami shut down our runners while ignoring that they were only given a few carries......
did the chairman ask the CFP committee to review the Aug 30 game between Alabama and FSU? Of course not.
Did they drop Alabama one in rank like they did all of the other CCG losers? No. Even when OSU lost a close game and Alabama was blown out in the same fashion as BYU who was also dropped in rank one spot? No.
They could only provide an excuse for moving up Miami if the dropped BYU but not Alabama for the exact same performance against the same level opponents.
CFP and ESPN/SEC are utterly corrupt.

There was no rewatch of any games. The plot was hatched after ND won their 10th in a row.
The conferences warned the committee ND will not be getting their CFP money this year. It was that simple. It was covered last Tuesday.
That’s it in a nutshell. Organized hatchet job…
