ranked in Top 12"...Apparently there was a Memo of Understanding (MOU) issued by the CFP Committee in the Spring of 2024. It would be effective only if the field was limited to 12 or 14 teams...current rumors suggest a move to 16 teams, which would nullify the MOU.

Might have had some influence on the CFP Committee's decision making. Nonetheless, this whole episode has been "Poorly Handled", to say the least...can't trust the Conferences/ESPN to act objectively, fairlY or responsibly.

So what? They’ve shown that they have no compunction whatsoever to just ranking us wherever suits their interests.

I agree with you…this committee can’t be trusted…just getting all the facts out on the table.

MOU's are non-binding. Otherwise, they would be called contracts.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.

Not necessarily, some provisions could be binding. And then there's promissory estoppel.

I'm sure ND has top notch attorneys looking at these things. And some MOU's can be binding. It all depends.
