Even though he deserves to win.
And that includes Herbie, Fowler, Macafee, Booger and most everybody else on ESPN radio and TV. Galloway and Orlovsky being the rare exceptions. They all have been purposely hammering ND non stop, and now they want to wash their hands of it all. Most of these dopes reciting the "ND took their ball and went home" ESPN talking point have no idea why Pete is upset and towards who. They also have no idea why ND has opted out of a bowl game. The selection committee was lazy and so were all the ESPN talking heads trying their best to be good little company boys and girls. . Which leads me back to J Love. Thanks for the memories and good luck on your future endeavors. .

Advocating against us and then going on a pity binge seems pretty disingenuous.
rankings suggests that they realize they went too far. And, now they have a major brand and unrelated outlets calling their system a farce and a hoax. The committee wants drama but not the kind that impugns the integrity of the process.

and I realize most will think I am crazy for saying that, but if they can fuck ND blatantly WITH it, you think they wouldn't do that to ND, and so many others, without it? With It, ND gets fucked. Without it, do most people really think Miami gets in over Texas or Vandy? They protected the ACC this time, but I have no doubt without it, and the same dumbass ACC tiebreakers in place, Duke becomes your 12 seed, and the debate is between ND, Miami, Texas and Vandy for the last spot. In that scenario, Miami is completely fucked, and then it is between ND and the SEC. ND is still probably screwed.
Problem here is they appear to have used ND as a clickbait generator when the. Outcome was pre-determined well in advance. And now the are caught with their pants down.
at least to as far back as the first rankings. I think you could argue it was more pre-determined in favor of ND. They clearly wanted ND in the field, at least judging by their statements. But I think Georgia Tech losing and bringing in the tiebreaker for the 2nd spot in the title game is where the committee lost control of their scheme, forcing more manipulation to protect against their original plan. Unfortunately, nothing major happened after that to avoid the doomsday scenario, and while we all thought Alabama getting waxed was going to save ND when coupled with the BYU loss, I am sure the committee knew then they were in really deep shit. Duke won, they pulled the pin on the grenade blowing their reputation up and here we are.
