Why return next year, with the same possibility of being screwed?

And by screwed, it could be an undefeated ND being ranking #5, or something along those lines.

Next year won't be driven by any "unfinished business" sentiment, it will be driven by an "us against the world" sentiment, one that ND knows all too well.

This year’s experience would seem to make one’s decision to enter draft even more likely.

Lose two close games out of the gate, …. not lose hope …. win 10 straight in dominating fashion…. be ranked 9 for playoffs …. only to see committee politics reverse themselves and exclude the Irish from the tournament …. dashing any hope of winning a national championship.

Each player will have to weigh his draft prospects, but when evaluating the risks v rewards of running the gauntlet in college for an additional year ….. declaring for the NFL now makes more sense.
