The AP and Coaches poll matched each other all year. What coach has time on gameday to review all or most other teams or conferences. Either their wives fill out the form or they echo or closely echo the AP Sunday list. Either poll thus echoes the same biases (team, conference, school) as the CFP now.
And pretending that the MOU some how makes up for this and the wins

How we can have committees to set rules miss the scenario where teams aren’t ranked in top 20
Make the playoffs is beyond comprehension. It’s simple, if u weren’t ranked above some number u don’t qualify.
It’s also unfathomable the ACC completely screws up its tiebreaker rules. Nobody saw a 4 or 5 loss team as possible making it to the conference finals in theory?
It’s to easy to see how flawed these things are after they happen but isn’t the real skill figuring it out BEFORE it happens to avoid it in the first place.
Any one of at least 3 teams would deserve the chances squandered on JMU and Tulane

Everyone connected with the selection or had an opinion are all trying to cover their tracks.
I want Booger and Wilbon front and center telling everyone they were acting as ESPN chumps when the selections were made. What was this positive meeting Pete had with Jim Philipps ? ACC won't run a continuous loop of the ND / Miami game for a while? Maybe the ACC Network talking heads promise to stop calling ND crybabies and whiners? What hand shake was made between these two that will fix the 2025 playoff selection and the negativity the conference had against ND?
