Generally speaking, is the talent coming in from the portal better than the talent leaving?
IMHO the talent coming in is generally better because they have a collegiate performance track record and proven academic accomplishment as well.

Top teams get guys moving up and lose those who can’t break the starting lineup
So it’s net positive.
It’s toughest for the top group of 5 teams, who lose their best players every year.
Close the damn portal, I say. Or make it so players can move once.
But closed would be better.
