This story uncritically accepts Riley’s version of what happened. Utter lazy bullshit. I wish our AD or MF would publicly counter this guy’s lies.
Soon, careless “fans” of college football will forget what really happened, if we do not fight back.

it wouldn't matter what Pete or Marcus say, they will believe what they want.
Best way to shut them up is 12 straight ass kickings and a NC on the back of a 25 game win streak, while USC misses the playoffs again.
So in that regard, yes it’s working and for the completely led by the nose readership they will be continually misled about all things.
It’s a shame but it’s;
Just another example or instance where it sucks to be a cult member in the DJT harem when you know you’re being sold fake goods as truth. Sorry to shove a little politics onto the footy but FOX TV is exactly that story everyday on all things.
though both are under same ownership.

The media hyped the Freeman to Giants story just hoping it would happen. That would have been the icing on the cake. Fact is, many of these youtubers, bloggers, writers, and "insiders" feel the room, then go what seems to be the popular opinion. Not the fact based correct story, but the popular opinion. Pete could come out in public but it won't do any good. As for myself, I do not respect Lincoln Riley. He reminds me too much of the California Governor. Say and do anything so no one will notice that the Trojans haven't accomplished much under Riley and he's probably embarrassed by it. When was the last time Riley and his USC Trojans won a PAC 12 title? Big10 title? Playoff game? Lincoln has his own little Kabuki Theater going on over here so no one will notice what he has done at USC over there. and the wannabe insiders are willing bait takers.
grasp the fact that Riley has failed every season to date? His teams are soft and unconnected. USC fans will get excited about winning the gold star for recruiting this year, but how any more seasons of mediocrity will it take before they get a football coach who can teach and lead young men to play like champions? And when the opportunity to replace Riley comes, will they choose a football coach who drives a Honda CRV or another "hottest name on the list" guy who drives a Porsche?
Bottom line is that the Southern California psych, the Hollywood attitude, is not changing to a mental approach that will be conducive to championship football...and it is not getting better.
