Joshua Burnham expected to enter the portal. He would have been a key rotational piece

That's too bad. He kept getting better.

Word is he wants to start, not rotate.

I can't blame him. He's got his degree, and should be a starter.

This a mistake by the staff at a position of great need.

Indiana? Mich. St.? Nothing more than a guess. Good luck to him.

A few starters with eligibility either go nfl or portal. Seems odd

The missed eval on hobbs cost them the season..

Burnham was better than Young in 2025, Young has a much higher ceiling.

Hobbs isn't a big loss, IMO.

Young's ceiling is lower these days.

Either he continues to add mass and goes inside, or trims down and stays outside.

Wouldn't doubt that JB has gotten some big NIL offers.

Talented, experienced, productive, high energy kid that's not going to start at ND. Seems like a no brainer for a lot of teams that don't have ND's talent at that position.

Just hope he chooses a place where he can start for a team that has a shot at the playoffs. Be a lose/lose for he and ND if he goes to a team that isn't competing for a playoff spot.

Thread Level: 2

That is a loss, he was playing great at the end of the year.

Ouch. One of the few bright spots of an otherwise inept position group.

I would hardly call Boubacar Traore “inept”

With Junior, Burnham, Botelho all leaving, we seem pretty thin on the edge. I would have expected Chris Burgess, Cole Mullins and Bryce Young to all add size and move inside, but we can't be left with just Traore and an undersized Loghan Thomas on the edge. Who's Next? Any portal heroes?

Thread Level: 3

Traore, Young, Burgess (should not move inside), Thomas, Hulak. Dunham and Ewetade will play early

He was very good and is a big loss. We gave some good lineman coming in (eg Dunham), but I like Burnam.
