Their "interests" are merely to maximize their short term revenues while they have zero concerns about the long term consequences for a 20 year old who feels he's a super valuable stud.

Nothing NCAA can do that's why they ask Congress to step in. Not sure how this all got started but it's backfiring on the elite programs who used to stockpile 4 and 5 star players. No more. That's how we get Indiana. I dislike college football very much and it was once a passion for me. NIL, transfer rule, portal, playoffs, ESPN / Disney, sideline reporters. all thee useless bowl games. I hate it all.
conversation for the national champiopnship in both years until the committee shut us down in December. That's fun. Plus, now the committee is getting a lot of heat.
Selection Sunday wasn't fun at all. Watching these games knowing ND is not part of it is not fun. Hearing these whiney little talking heads from social media, TV, and print hasn't been fun at all. Not seeing Love and Price for a few more games was a slap in the face by the playoff committee and ESPN. That's not fun. How many teams out of 12 or 16 actually have a serious chance to win it all? Tulane and JMU was not fun. It's a money grab IMHO. The 12 best were not involved in 2025 and I don't expect much to change in 2026. Everyone will still be on their high horse about NDs schedule and Independent status. Herbie, Klatt, Wilbon, Joe Tess and his guy pal Jesse Palmer. All of them. As far as the portal, none of us know what's going on behind the scenes. Is it money? Is it having scheduled the transfer guys at the wrong time? Schedule recruits last, transfers first supposedly is how it's done. Maybe these guys so far aren't as important to the staff as they are to us. We don't know. We might learn more when the staff does an autopsy of their strategy when this is all over.
...bad loss to Georgia,,,
That was a fix, pure and simple. Takes all the fun remaining out of College Football...which is also being drained in other ways...sadly.
