Proof of two things….
1) ND declining to give them their bowl money DID hurt, and also worries them about creating a precedent that will really hurt them.
2) They are very aware that their CFP as well as ESPN lost a lot of credibility with the entire sports world wrt how the CFP teams are actually selected.
The world saw that the ststem is rigged, and they are trying to turn it against ND instead.

I agree…and haven’t watched a game since Army-Navy. Still, since this is now a pay-to-play minor
…League there are new concerns.
Opposing coaches will whisper in recruit/transfer’s ears “Do you really want to take the chance of playing for a school that has the possibility of being dropped out of the playoffs even when deserving?” “You may miss the opportunity to showcase your talents on the big stage.”

But on the flip side, we go into bowl without key players and…
get embarrassed somehow (not saying we would, just could), we could see the same results that FSU did when snubbed. I feel like that affects recruiting even more than what we did.
