What was so special about Oregon's schedule that they deserved to be in the playoff?

What was their best win in the regular season? USC?

Go figure.

I will give them credit for shutting out Texas Tech & their loudmouthed coach even though I think there were several teams in the playoff + ND that were capable of doing that.

It’s the charade of the conference. Best win? Iowa or SC, maybe.

ND needs to start having its emissaries in the media criticize conference play. SEC got exposed during bowl season, and BIG’s regular season is a joke when the bottom half of the conference is abysmal and the best teams don’t play each other.

Imposing corporate abuse, neglect and greed on deserving victims.

SEC got exposed in in season OOC games too.

Can see why they'd want to minimize OOC games, can just beat on each other and continue perpetuate the myth that they're better than everyone else.

Conference schedules are held in higher regard than ND's mishmash schedule.

It's all about optics.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability

What is your point? What’s our best win?

If Gerry Faust had these ND schedules during his years, "he'd still be coaching...."

Coach Faust had the Irish ranked #1 for one glorious week.

Let's keep in mind that it was ND who hired Faust, Willingham, Davie, Charlie, and it was also ND who hired Ara, Lou, Marcus, and yes, BK. I remember fans at the time saying TW was going to bring in the skilled players and Charlie Sr was going to bring along his offensive success from the NFL. Coach Faust and Davie hire was all on ND.

TW was result of O’Leary disaster and CW was to try and recover from the Urban miss…

Their pre-coaching hype was just lip sticking the pig for the fanbase.

Never cared for either going in. Believed in TW for just under one week after FSU 2002.

Believed in Weis from USC 2005 through Michigan game 2006, though really started to waiver during Fiesta Bowl.

What TW set him up for in 2007 was criminal…but Weis managed to make it even worse…
