247 ranked ND #1 on combined HS/portal class.
ND is going to kick some serious ass this fall, that's all that matters.
Kinda obvious
While we fixate on such rankings - I am guilty, too - these assessments that attempt to score such things must be viewed skeptically.
247sports assigns a 'value' for each player and then simply multiplies the average value X the number of players. We didn't take a lot of transfers, so our score will look low by comparison. I am blown away by the number of transfers by most schools. The fact we that are taking so few is a very good thing and says a lot about the talent on our roster and the culture that Marcus is building.

I understand everyone above us has a lot more portal commitments. I just thought we had more.
