Wonder how the ACC will respond to one of their own cannibalizing one of their own.
They'd be thrilled if Miami did this with an ND player, probably not so much with one of their original conference members.
The B10 stood up against the UW QB breaking contract to go to LSU, but ACC is run by Miami now….
……as we saw this past Fall. Miami now even gets to keep all of their playoff winnings without sharing after their lawsuit -The perk of independence. Yet they get a share from other teams if they make it instead, and they get to have the Cush ACC schedule with the cover story of having no control of it because they are in a conference.
The other schools and coaches of the ACC have to be extremely disturbed by this (except Pat Narduzzi who will leak an anonymous sourced quote that this is ND’s fault.
I hope Duke fights them and wins late in the summer.

Because that's exactly what it is. He is under contract and not in the portal. It's very unlikely
he called Miami to ask about coming there. It is almost 100% more likely that someone from Miami's network came to him and said, if I can get this deal would you go.
Under the rules of how FA works, that is tampering. Throw in the fact that is is known that Miami is scrambling because they thought they could entice Ty Simpson per his posting.

Kid reaffirmed his commitment to Duke, then, at the last minute, entered the portal and
immediately committed to Miami. What else would one call it?
