Knowing Pete Beathard for decades, his USC lineage

and teammates of that era are truly upset that the USC/ND rivalry has been tabled. Pete and my wife were both born the same day in March of'42. Great guy.
The players of the 60s on saw the game as carrying on a tradition that spread college football from coast to coast. To later generations maybe a big nothing.
But, today, who did Miami buy today to play left tackle? Student-athlete, yuh.
