Got tickets to Rice game

First let me state my reason for the Rice game. I've been to two games in my life. The first was against Pitt in Lou's last game (if my memory serves me right). It was a beautiful blowout 66 to some tiny score. My best friend got me the ticket and surprised me.
My second game was years later and I took my Dad (lifetime fan). The Irish lost that game and I can't accurately describe the disappointment my Dad and I experienced. It was a major punch in the gut. I've blocked it out and don't even remember the team we lost to.
So, having said that, I chose Rice because I believe the Irish (should) will beat them handily. As it has been many years since I've been there, can you (anyone) let me know some good places to stay? I would appreciate it.

Good breakfast, decent rooms, parking garage with Tesla chargers.

All South Bend hotels raise their rates for football weekends. They aren’t going to be cheap. If you are on a budget, look to your favorite chain in LaPorte or Elkhart
