I'm sure USC alums are delighted by opening the season against San Jose State, Fresno, and Louisiana and also with road trips to Rudgers, Penn State, Wisconsin and Indiana.
Oh! And all their sports will be also making cross country trips to the mid-West and East Coast.
Fight on wimps.

Yes... ratings will be high tor the playoffs, but that will always be true.
But how many viewers will be tuning in during the regular season to see the power teams beat up creampuffs?
And how many gamblers will put down hard money 0n games that shall always be blowouts?
...then they won't care as much about the crap games they're witnessing on the field.
I think killing tradition and the ties to true student-athletes will dampen the overall appeal of the sport over time.
Just my opinion...others certainly disagree...
On the other hand, college teams tend to have a whole state rooting for them because they're the only game in town.
I suspect thaty fans in SEC states will remain loyal no matter what.
But they won't enough to bring in the revenue to pay high NIL players.

The days of big regular season OOC games is coming to an end.
Exhibition. You have to win enough games to get in.
Everybody will go for an easier schedule to be healthy and hopefully selected for the playoffs.
No one will care who won or lost in the regular season. It’s the NFL model, and teams, imho, will schedule accordingly…now someone get Bishop Sycamore on the horn to schedule a “home & home”….Oh wait?!

The NFL part is the expanded playoff, and your season is judged on how you do in the playoffs. One of Eli’s SBs with the Giants was as a wildcard, no one gave a rip they had a so-so season. It’s all about the playoffs/title.

Show up in December with 11 or 12 wins and (if you're in a major conference) you are in the playoffs.
Why try to score a date with a beautiful woman and get rejected when you can go hire a prostitute, get laid, and call yourself one of the greatest ladies' men in the history of mankind anyways?

Even if they succeed, they will be nothing with Lincoln Riley as coach.
Don’t think they saw this coming

That are NOT happy with the state of the football program.
My Ortho surgeon is just an unbelievable dude and SC grad, the other day I gave him shit because his security lanyard was SC based and man... He is not happy about ND being taken off the schedule and wished the head coach was gone a couple of years ago.

Everyone wants what IU has and they want it now.
Cig did what he did by loading his roster with talented, older, experienced players (believe someone mentioned the avg age of IU players this year was 23+). LR loaded his roster with freshmen and a few transfers.
The only thing LR is going to get out of this is a couple more wins and some pissed off alumns, boosters and fans. That, and incredibly low TV ratings and attendance.
