Less talent there, probably NIL money.

I agree, that he has a chance to play right away, since their secondary was pretty bad last year.

Best wishes to the kid.

Exactly, the only reason he would go to UCLA is $$$, ok fine. Nice

Field, shitty stadium.
No national TV, maybe once a year
Weather is great
Weak coaching staff
The beach is 5 to 6 miles away, on a weekend that’s a 35 45 minute car ride, ride a bike is fast as long as you don’t get hit by a car
Is he going to be a doc??? Ok
Good luck to him

The co-eds are also nice to mingle with.

ND needs to spend some NIL on improving that aspect of the university.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame
Invincibility with no vulnerability

ND needs to spend NIL money on plastic surgery for admitted females so male athletic recruits will be more interested in copulating with them?

That seems to wander a tad astray from the University's mission.

Pretty easy to get scared off by our young talent at Safety.

It wasn't that, he came to play for Mickens. Obviously, low end 3* guys are always ready to commit

I wonder how often recruits hear how much others get paid here or there & bolt.

It’s the problem with this system to an extent. Everyone is an unrestricted free agent.

Imposing corporate abuse, neglect and greed on deserving victims.

Given our quality at Safety, more like he looked for greener pastures.

Looks like the kid was a constant looker.

Not sure I believe that...but do think safety depth is the key factor here...

UCLA's safety depth was all but destroyed after the mass-exodus.

The only safety of starting caliber left, was Cole Martin, who will be penciled in as a starter, assuming that Bob Chesney doesn't adopt a Brian Kelly-esque attitude of "my players are better than the last guy's players!"

He'll probably be back in 2027 (if he doesn't transfer again), but either way, he's a non-factor by 2028.

Bob Chesney brought in 41 players through the transfer portal, and none of the three safeties he brought in should be around for 2028. Two of them (Ta'Shawn James, Malik Hartford) are coming off season-ending injuries from 2026, with Hartford having shoulder surgery not too long ago. The third (Tao Johnson) is out of eligibility after 2026.

I'm guessing that they're going to need a lot of help from Lady Luck to get to 0.500, which usually means that you'll have a lot of guys transferring out after 2026 as well.

That presents a much easier opportunity for Terry to crack the 2 deep in 2027, and seize a starting spot in 2028.

More safety prospects on the way. Sure the staff alerted him

At least he had the courtesy to do it early. I'm not worried about our being able to find a replacement. If my guess is correct about Zayden Gamble, we'll get someone just as good, maybe better.

With ND's track record of developing NFL-caliber safeties, I'm pretty sure Coach Henry and Coach Freeman will get the players they want.

Interestingly enough they've been hard after John Gay who was close to committing to USF!?😳

The man has incredible instincts and football IQ when it comes to putting himself in the right place at the right time. He plays a lot like Luke Talich does.

Right now, he runs a 4.50 40 time, and he's definitely not done growing yet.

He has a reasonably good offer list right now, but I suspect as he plays his senior year, that offer list is going to grow.

He was pretty bad in both games I saw, and especially vs SFA. Doesn't make plays (2 career INTS)

I'm usually spot on with these type of recruits and don't see him being here after a couple years. Coach Shivers did him a solid as a Chaminade Alum an convinced the staff to give him a shot. Going from a USF lean to ND commit is a big leap.

Gavin Williams and Zayden Gamble maybe the duo for this class. Not unexpected once those names pop
