Chase Claypool invited to Packers rookie minicamp tryout

He last played in the NFL in 2023. Hope he has worked on his attitude in the interim and is able to stick...he definitely had the talent.

He was a great team player at ND

He played the game, didn't cause trouble, wasn't a diva, etc.

When he was asked to play on special teams, he did it without complaint. When asked to be a brute blocker for Tony Jones, he'd do it, no complaints.

His first two years in the NFL were productive, that he was a very solid WR2 / WR3 who looked like he could easily become a WR1, but he never overcame the shortcomings.

Physically speaking, he was a freak of nature, being tall, 230 lbs, and running a 4.42 in the 40, but there were some fundamentals that stuck out like a sore thumb once he got to the pros.

I *suspect* that with all of the success he had in college, mostly through natural talent, he didn't like being corrected by his WR coaches in the NFL.
