born to my son-in-law, a 2014 grad. and youngest daughter, who was born on the same date 35 years ago. It was a boy, but nameless as of the moment. His paternal grandfather and two aunts, one my oldest daughter and former ND swimmer, are all ND alums.
For 77 years, holding a grandchild was #1 on my bucket list and somewhat in doubt from time to time. Nevertheless, I now have one each of both genders and my granddaughter, approaching two, has me wrapped around her little finger. Replacing my #1 bucket list item now is to live long enough to take them to the golf course and...maybe someday if I can still walk....fishing.
