And remaining independent.
I think the schedule will be better under this system. The upcoming series with Texas and Alabama won't disappear, and new high-end opponents will be scheduled. Additionally, the cowards from SC will return.
With more wiggle-room to make the playoff, big names will schedule each other more often to generate higher revenue.
Who’s going to go to all the extra games? Tailgate? Purchase over-priced tickets? Hotels booked.
Diluted comes to mind - NFL farm teams!
I'd rather travel South than to LA La Land
HATE this. Best way to kill all the things that make college football unique and special.

I am against changing it at all from 12. But if it changes to 16, it means far more SEC representation as they dominate the teams in the 12-16 range. That just means more $ for the SEC, and the y won't change their scheduling at all.
ND is guaranteed ACC games so they will get some schedule strength from a 24 team CFP there, but also from B10 and B12 schools as well.
Again, I want it to stay at 12. In fact, the only change that I would make is to exclude the group of 5 pretenders unless they are actually ranked in the top 12.
But if the CFP changes to more teams, I prefer 24 to 16.
as any other school.

...would offer an additional layer of protection for an ND.
Who cares about making the playoff?
