ND's new stance is more about being able to improve regular season scheduling..

And remaining independent.

I think the schedule will be better under this system. The upcoming series with Texas and Alabama won't disappear, and new high-end opponents will be scheduled. Additionally, the cowards from SC will return.

With more wiggle-room to make the playoff, big names will schedule each other more often to generate higher revenue.

Sure, an 8-4 season gets us in the playoffs. Oh boy.

Who’s going to go to all the extra games? Tailgate? Purchase over-priced tickets? Hotels booked.

Diluted comes to mind - NFL farm teams!

Chess not checkers. But do we really want the Trojans again?

I'd rather travel South than to LA La Land

HATE this. Best way to kill all the things that make college football unique and special.

Keeping ND on the outside looking in last year would provide additional incentive to agree...

Yes, it is true. 24 teams means more playoff teams that ND can schedule from the ACC alone.

I am against changing it at all from 12. But if it changes to 16, it means far more SEC representation as they dominate the teams in the 12-16 range. That just means more $ for the SEC, and the y won't change their scheduling at all.

ND is guaranteed ACC games so they will get some schedule strength from a 24 team CFP there, but also from B10 and B12 schools as well.

Again, I want it to stay at 12. In fact, the only change that I would make is to exclude the group of 5 pretenders unless they are actually ranked in the top 12.
But if the CFP changes to more teams, I prefer 24 to 16.

No it won’t, their contract already gives them an in. Otherwise they would have the same opportunity

I am talking about how it would increase our SoS relative to playing more playoff teams

Yep. No protection if the committee just decides to slot them at 13. Hence why a 24-team playoff
