Exactly, once he lost his edge, he bowed out. Coach K is his perfect match in baseketball. Last year

he repeatedly said we were one of the best five teams in the country and had a real shot at winning the whole thing. He then let his ESPN breatheran run their false narrative, He had to know Alabama did not belong and Oklahoma was completely overrated.

1000% correct about Saban when the comedian called him out on ESPN set you saw the truth!

Great coach, but broke every rule to obtain. He is the last person that should be consulted on this issue. He was the problem, he left because the advantage he had was over and the Bama fans know it. The writing was on the wall.

He absolutely started this mess and he is concerned about that state of the game today. It is fair to wonder if he would have such concern had many others not caught up to Bama.

Sure…he wants “just the right amount” of cheating…

Give him credit for delivering his current position with a straight face…

Old system handicapped ND after the 70’s.

Now they just have the CFP cheat.

Like Coach K, Saban is in little position to an "elder" in college sports

Both decided that they wanted to win more than "build men," so they bent/broke every rule/ standard in their sport and then walked away and pretended they had nothing to do with the whole mess..

Folks like K, Saban, Joe Pa(and his minions) and others want folks to kiss their rings. I just wish they would get some inner perspective that their egos prevent them gaining.

"Unofficial benefits" have been there for many years. Especially in the SWC & SEC.

I've often heard stories over the years about payments and no show jobs at A&M when Bear Bryant was the HC. Don't know if it's true but there might be something to it. Are grad rates even a thing anymore?
