I wonder who will draft him?

He's not that talented, and a 10 time loser who bets on his own team.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

He's very talented.

He averaged over 8 yards per attempt, ran the ball well, had a great T.D. to INT ratio. Good arm and good accuracy.

Obviously, you question the character when you make the draft call. But from a talent standpoint, it's all there.

Right now, their QB roster doesn't exactly look awe-inspiring.

Deshaun Watson is the only starting caliber QB, and even then, he's but a shadow of his former Pro Bowl self.

He's had so many injuries, that he reminds me of Jim McMahon in the last few years of his career, where even a light hit sent him to the locker room.

Seriously... With the depth chart being Dillon Gabriel (too small), Shedeur Sanders (played in gimmick offense), and Taylen Green (erratic accuracy), Sorsby can't be any worse.

I think the Browns want to tank again this year.

So they can get a decent QB in next year's Draft. Their existing QBs give them the best chance of failure.

I hope not...

That would mean that CJ Carr could become a Brown.

They've already destroyed two ND quarterbacks' careers in recent times, and I'd rather they not get a chance to do that to a third.

They should be in the Manning Sweepstakes.

Manning may refuse to play for them and demand a trade.

I think the Browns are too dumb to select Carr. Time will tell. Expect the Worst. Demand Failure.

Big losers in this: TTech, retired Lubbock Judge Ken Curry, TX AG Ken Paxton, & Sorsby in that order

Paxton is just a loser....and I say this as a somewhat overt conservative on this board.

Somehow will spin it into a culture war thing rather than someone breaking the rules and messing with the integrity of the game. You know, RINO or liberal judge overturns injunction.

They probably believed that once the "court" weighed in, everyone would just accept it and go away.

Thread Level: 3

Texas Tech had to carefully wiggle out of this.

They drove the lawsuit. They endorsed his decision to try to play. And when they realized they may lose games or face sanctions as a program from their own conference, they needed him to go away and not face liability from him.

As a result, you get their fence-straddling released statement and their agreement to keto him keep the portion of N.I.L. money already paid.

I think this is largely correct. Buying the judge wasn’t enough this time…

the B12 did not back down and take the added revenue from a likely playoff game. The B12 was also not afraid to sanction one of its' marquise programs when all of its' other membership athletic departments expressed outrage.

The simple fact is that the B12 had the legal power to sanction TT, and it was unafraid to stand up to the threats. The Big 10 could have, and should have done the same. Michigan would have folded as well because this only happens if the conference decides to let cheating and rule breaking slide to avoid the conflict and monetary loss.

Don’t disagree, but it was easier for the Big12 because season hadn’t started
