In something called the Rivals Ratings Era (whatever that is), there have been 35 five stars from Louisiana. 25 went to LSU. Of the other ten, the furthest away anyone went was to UT in Knoxville.

This was a very big get.

This is easily the best group of offensive line recruits I've seen since Lou's departure.

This is also the best group of defensive line recruits as well.

We all criticized Chris Ash for last year's first two and a half games, and I was certainly vocal about it as well.

The criticism was rightfully deserved, since he was playing the same defense that tOSU used in 2024, where they had quite a few NFL draft picks in their defensive line two deep. They got excellent pass rush with just the four down linemen, and didn't have to blitz.

In 2025, we didn't have nearly the same numbers or talent in our two deep, which is why the opposing offenses picked us apart. Once Ash finally adjusted to a more conventional defense, we thrived.

If we can get the same kind of talent, numbers, and development that tOSU had in 2024, then I think Chris Ash's previous defense would actually work, and work at the best levels.

Not too shabby.

Kind of reminds me of when Rocket Ismail played for Notre Dame

He played the hat game: put on LSU hat first, then two more before breaking out the lucky charms and the ND hat.
