I get why it's upsetting, but that figure is less than I expected, and

less than most of the serious title contenders this season. One thing that Freeman and his staff seem to do well is balance paying players with true team building. Because of that, Notre Dame will likely not have the highest payroll.

That is significantly less than OSU paid it's NC roster 2 years ago with equivalent talent.
