"The tutor’s degree and skill level you believe will pay dividends down the road and the least of it is your child’s adoration for life." I don't believe that the tutors degree matters. She is the flute teacher for a middle schooler. There are other flute teachers that would be adequate for the job. She happens to be close.
"...debt relief on exorbitant predatory loans..." Who exactly was the prey in this instance? I know people who took loans. They knew what they were doing. I know people that didn't take the loans, they were smarter.
"...the government going after predator lending places in all cases of education and student loans..." The govt exacerbated the problem by not allowing these loans to be defaulted on in bankruptcy. Why not start there?
"A degree that creates great wealth. " It creates $60/hr for around 15 hours a week. It doesn't create great wealth.
"But then, if the instructor had no degree who would you hire to instruct your little darling?" Someone else. There are plenty of instructors in the area. My cousin teaches flute in northern Indiana. She didn't go to college. She'd be fine. She's just not close.
What world do you live in where you think that a doctorate is necessary for the average flute teacher?
