Ukraine has some strategic benefits for Russia that may not exist in those other countries. There may be some things we could do diplomatically to prevent that expansion as well.
I don't have any opinion on whether or not we should support extending this conflict. I just know that if we support it, we are in no position to claim the moral high ground in the debate. If we support it, calling people filth for disagreeing is not palatable.
I also know that the US has plenty to gain from seeing this war continue so I'm hesitant to think our involvement is just about maintaining order in the region.
