Ty, Conor, Chris, etc...here's the problem we have with the mainstream media

Ty pointed out below that the mainstream media doesn't get the facts wrong, or at least tries to get the facts right. He's actually technically correct. But what he's ignoring or not seeing is the bias they have which leads to extremely dishonest journalism. They often leave out important context and quote "experts" who favor their point of view. Cases in point:

- George Zimmerman. Reported as he "stalked, shot and killed Trayvon Martin." Lots of play was given to the 911 operator's "we don't need you to do that" when Zimmerman mentioned he was following Martin. What is often omitted is that on the 911 call, Zimmerman told the 911 operator "okay" and he said he would stop following. Zimmerman testified he was heading home/going back to his car (I forget) and Martin then came back and confronted him and attacked him. A witness testified Martin was on top of Zimmerman beating the crap out of him, and Zimmerman had injuries that seemed to confirm this. Yet, these details were widely omitted or barely mentioned.

- Kyle Rittenhouse. When the facts were soon known after the incident, it was crystal clear it was self-defense. Yes, Rittenhouse was an idiot, but not a criminal. Yet, the MSM strongly played up "experts" who claimed Rittenhouse was guilty, or their reporting was that "Rittenhouse shot protesters."

- Tony Timpa. Who? you might ask. A guy in Dallas killed by police in much the same manner as George Floyd. No national news coverage. Why? Because Timpa was white. The media has consistently ignored the fact that white suspects/criminals are killed by police, too, and in questionable circumstances. But because the MSM has taken the position that police disproportionately "target" black suspects/criminals, this is all they focus on. Which leads to...

- The mainstream media's only mantra is black people are killed at a rate 2.5 times higher than white people. This is true. But what's omitted is black suspects/criminals are NOT killed in higher proportion than white suspects/criminals. This is dishonest reporting to the highest degree.

- Hunter Biden. Had this been Donald Trump Jr., this would have been front-page news for weeks in the NY Times, Washington Post, etc.

- AP news stories about Trump consistently stated, "Trump stated, without evidence..." Biden often makes questionable claims, too, as all politicians do, but you never see the phrase "without evidence."

In short, the MSM media paint a very incomplete picture, and they do it deliberately. Pew Research showed several years ago 89% of all national reporters said they routinely vote Democrat. Finally, why do liberals in general trust and have faith in the MSM? Because the MSM's reporting mirrors their point of view. For if the MSM was truly impartial, the right would say it skews left and the left would say it skews right.
