Already covered here. THe FBI switched systems this year for collecting data and a number of cities

have not reported complete data. Additionally, some of the data computed by the FBI does not match what local departments have reported. The UCR is garbage this year. Come back in a couple years when the system is ironed out and you have more than 70% of departments reporting data to the FBI.

But, as with inflation and the border, I would highly recommend the "Don't believe your lyin' eyes" strategy.
