As he points out, effective drugs were indeed developed against HIV, but guess what? Your hero refused to okay an Emergency Use Authorization for them because (and this will sound familiar) he refused to accept the observational data that showed the drugs to be effective and insisted on RCTs before he gave the drugs his blessing.

This process took two years, during which time 17,000 people died needlessly, thanks to your hero's flawed PERSONAL medical philosophy.

Also, your giving him credit for "championing" these drugs is ridiculous. Anyone in that position would have done that obvious thing... except they wouldn't have let 17,000 people die. But then again, he was just warming up to his main act of letting 500,000 people needlessly dying from Covid.

Your hero also falsely and dishonestly kept trying to run with the natural origin Covid b.s. when we now know through emails he knew it likely came from the lab. Not to mention constantly lying about gain of function research funding.
