It is who we are now. It is the path the electorate has chosen.
Let’s give Trump 2.0 the runway it deserves. The electorate has spoken.
We remain a deeply divided nation. Trump’s popular vote win is still relatively marginal compared to Reagan, Obama, and Biden in 2020.
The 2024 electorate was less principled and more pragmatic at the ballot. I do not believe it was all about inflation, albeit a big issue for many households. The support for Trump is more fundamental, a distrust of the status quo. The majority perceived a better future for themselves under Trump. I remain convinced they will greatly regret their judgment. And sooner than later.
