When someone votes on the basis of policies one is choosing between two different imperfect sets and weighs them in a balance.

When one votes on personalities one does not give a shit that they actually do as long as one likes them,,, or prefers them to their opponent..

You hate Trump and were willing to live with open borders, DEI, insane spending, gender fluidity, over regulation, woke cancel culture, etc., etc.
