It's a major problem we are going to have to solve. There will be abundance provided we can produce enough sustainable energy. But how will we divide the resources if not on the basis of labor? What are humans even going to do?
I often think about Agent Smith's quote in The Matrix, that the first version of the matrix was designed as a perfect human world with no suffering, it was a disaster.
