I just feel we need to be careful about speaking for God and using Scripture as a means to our ends. Were not Jesus' followers shocked at His calling of the hated tax collector and were not the same followers befuddled at the healing of the the Roman soldier's daughter and did not Jesus forgive and embrace the thief at the crucifixion when no one else would? I think we need to give God an infinite amount of latitude when it comes to His ways. Just my opinion.
