administration, crime is markedly down in NYC. In addition, Mamdani inherited a $12B deficit that cannot support 5,000 new NYPD officers over the next two years, so that plan was cut. What the Mayor has done to enhance the Police Department's effectiveness is to create a division...much like elsewhere in the country...that responds to mental health type calls, thus freeing up the majority of officers who are trained in handling violent crimes. Btw, I've posted before that even the Charles Koch Family Foundation supports such changes, rather than funding more SWAT teams.

As for seizing the means of production...that's not true either...e.g. GA, FLA, WI have city owned grocery stores, as well as electric utilities...

Deal with it...Mayor Mamdani isn't a Communist...he's emulating FDR's "Socialist" concern for ALL Americans.

Worry more about the guy who has numerous 90 min. totally private calls with that former KGB Colonel who has never rejected his Communist upbringing.
