They couldn’t pull off the tried and true nebulous speaking fee/book advance payoff scam.
They tried to make Hunter’s art the asset of unverifiable value that would support laundering payoffs…but it wasn’t sustainable…and nobody can even pretend they want to pay to hear Hunter give a speech.
