FOIA requests show more. Just Google "fauci authorized funding to wuhan lab."

In 2021, Rand Paul and Fauci got into a huge, well publicized argument regarding whether our funding of gain of function in China was the same type of gain of function prohibited to be done in the US by US law. Why Fauci felt it necessary to give money to China to do it, when he claimed he could have done it here, he did not successfully explain. Paul said he did it there to escape oversight. The Biden pardon goes back to 2018 when the lab started doing this with US funds.

Then the result of that research escaped the lab, and Fauci's diary shows he knew it came from the lab, but he pushed the cover story.

And now he pleads the 5th on this, allowing you to more successfully argue there is no evidence.

But it is a matter of record that the US later withdrew funding from the Wuhan lab...so obviously we were funding it if we withdrew funding.
