To "earn" the "benefit of the doubt?" Nothing. But, I'm willing to give credit where it is due.

I give few people, let alone elected officials, the benefit of the doubt. But, as with Obama whom I also dislike, I'm willing to look at efforts and accomplishments on a case-by-case basis and give credit (or criticism) accordingly.
