Depends on the situation. I can say that losing a job over a bullshit statement like that should

not happen. It shouldn't go from 0 to nuclear. At a time when we need people working, why not reprimand the pilot?

As far as my job, I have been here 22 years and have been known to say things out loud that others are thinking. My reputation in my company is really good so I would get some rope and not be fired right away. But I also work in a very blue collar industry where everyone isn't sensitive.
