The swamp that is congress (esp Dems) knows that if they categorize certain important jobs as nonessential in the budget along with all of the deadwood, then they can always point to those few important jobs when a shut down occurs and make the fallacious argument that all of the shut down government functions are necessary. In fact, they are just a few out of thousands, but this common logical fallacy fools simple minds (you).
There are certainly going to be a few job descriptions in that massive amounts of dead wood that has been shut down that are important, and I would be all for finding money on the side or recategorizing certain jobs such the rangers and sanitation workers at the national parks or he TSA. But the vast majority are unnecessary.
Personally, in the case of the TSA, I would privatize it as I find the TSA to be a joke, and their workers give me the impression that they don’t give a damn, and they are totally comfortable in their job security as they treat people poorly.
Now, IF you feel that they are so essential, then you better start asking Pelosi why she is shutting down the government by not approving a miniscule amount (by US budget standards) for a wall.
