If you cow-tow to the Dem power structure, you can screw African-Americans. Dems are good with that.

If, however, you are outside the Dem power structure, then even if you help African-Americans, you are a racist. We live in weird times. Then again, Booker T. Washington recognized that there were people like the Dems of today 100 years ago, who wanted to talk about solving the problems of African-Americans but not actually solve them, because the problems of African-Americans were the source of their power and income. So, maybe this is just more of the same.
