You underestimate how big he was in Iran. This will unify the country against us - all sides, reformers and hardliners. No deal - the thing Trump has always said was the point of the “maximum pressure” campaign - is possible now.
It won’t be a conventional war, with an assault on Tehran. But many people are going to die.
