All I can say is that I know from personal experience that tariffs preserve US jobs.
In one case in particular, I know people personally whose jobs were saved by tariffs when a manufacturing line transfer to Asia was canceled. Surely you can see the logic to such a decision. And that logic is not unique; it applies to every company having a US manufacturing line servicing US end customers.
Of course companies don't like tariffs. That is not a mystery, either.
You have a public study that contradicts my real world experience, and contradicts general logic principles on this issue that apply to all companies. But, I assume I will just have to accept that you will remain unconvinced, and let it go at that.
Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.
