It sure doesn't help them. There's a strong anti-semitic D party bent at present being

rationalized as "anti zionism" rather than anti semitism.
These liberal Democrats claim that they are not anti semitic while at the same time supporting the groups sworn to eliminating jews from the face of the earth.
(They also rationalize that what they are doing is ok by getting jews in name only- to voice their opposition to Israel much the same as they get catholics in name only to voice opposition to Church doctrine).

But it is most definitely anti semitism. There is also a strong anti Christian bent to the party as well.

The Biden DOJ showed that the Democrats are willing to weaponize these prejudices. Interestingly, they also made effort to conceal their actions which shows that they know that their behavior is wrong.
If they do this to their own citizens, what will they do to Israel?

The influx radical Islam into the Dem Party, university campuses, and left wing media is a big reason for it. Also, the "entryism" (see TtTK's previous link for reference) of the communist party into the Dem party has also had an influence on this.
