By the way, you guys act like it's a bunch of teenagers applying for MAID. Here are some facts for you (from 2024):

95.6% of those who received MAID were already close to death. Almost 65% of them had terminal cancer. Their median age was 78.

Of the remaining 4.4% who were granted MAID about one-third had lived with serious, incurable disease, illness or disability for more than 10 years.

This is not Logan's Run. People aren't just being exterminated when they reach 30. This is really sick individuals with death in sight, choosing to go out on their terms, rather than continuing to suffer right to the end. You don't have to like it and I'm not sure I do either, but none of us are the ones sitting in a hospital bed in constant pain, just waiting to die. Those folks have a choice. Good for them.
