This is a great article. Today's left are about only three things: morality, fairness, compassion

As THEY define them. And anyone who disagrees is evil by definition. That's why they get so emotional. Heck, I think we all get worked up if we see acts that are not moral, fair or compassionate. That's basic human nature.

But again, it's THEIR definitions conservatives disagree with. And the author rightly notes conservatism is rooted in logic while liberalism is rooted in emotion. It's also interesting I've seen more people convert from liberalism to conservatism than vice versa.
