Progressivism has no plan other than to deconstruct. It's failure embodied.

The author talks about the importance of being seen as virtuous. I think that's the influence of the former liberals who have morphed into progressives. The extreme left has hijacked the left, and uses group approval to keep the more rational in line.

I have lived in three towns controlled by a single party (Berkeley, Oak Park, and Ann Arbor), and many positives in those places, but from an administrative perspective, none of the cities was particularly well managed. You need at least two viable parties for things to work, and an extremist deconstructionist party has no interest in balancing the views of the opposing party.
