What's your take on the voter backlash against Data Centers?...
146 DCs were either delayed or voted down re: building or expansion.
Elon Musk last week announced that he is proposing DCs in orbit. (HA!)
Data centers support nearly every sector of the economy, including retail, healthcare, logistics, and finance. They create jobs in construction, engineering, and operations, attract tech investment, and help regions develop innovative ecosystems. Additionally, they act as control hubs for critical infrastructure, including utilities, transportation, and manufacturing, making them essential for national security and emergency response.
Modern data centers are increasingly energy-efficient, integrating renewable energy, advanced cooling systems, and water recycling to reduce environmental impact. Their development often drives improvements in local power grids, fiber networks, and other infrastructure, benefiting surrounding communities.
My take on this is that it's just another Social Re-engineering ploy by politicians. Most pols are primarily interested in only two things...Money & Power.
